KLCC/NPR Interview
Dina Pavlis gained much of the information for her book through firsthand experience
working as a volunteer for the U.S. Forest Service.
Dina spoke with KLCC's
Andrew Bartholomew
during the NPR show, Northwest Passage. The interview contains topics such as how the
dunes were formed and why they are disappearing, wildlife
found on the dunes, information about quicksand, and the explorations of
Captain Cook.
Guided Group Walks
Experience the dunes in-depth with one of the many rangers that work in the Oregon Dunes.
Guided group walks can be scheduled any time of year by calling the Oregon Dunes Visitor
Center in Reedsport, Oregon (541-271-3611). Walks can be tailored in terms of time, distance
and detail to meet the needs of specific groups.
